Who we are
Ekko processes personal data to provide interactive feedback tools for teachers and students. This policy describes what we collect, why, and your rights under applicable data protection law.
Data we process
Teacher accounts: email, password hash (managed by our auth provider), display name, and usage metadata. Student access: unique codes, device push subscription endpoints, and engagement signals tied to published feedback — not student email or passwords.
Content you upload
Photos of student work, annotations, audio, video links, and files attached to pins are stored to deliver feedback. You control what is captured and published. Published content is available to holders of the student code.
Legal bases and retention
We process data to perform the service you request and, where required, on legitimate interests in securing and improving the platform. Data is retained while your account is active and as needed for legal obligations; you may request deletion subject to school or contractual requirements.
Subprocessors
Infrastructure and auth may be hosted on servers you configure (e.g. self-hosted Supabase). Optional AI features may send content to third-party model providers when you explicitly use those features.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.
